Role Overview:-
We are seeking a Database Administrator with experience in enterprise database and data warehouse environments. The role involves database installation, administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability and security of database systems.
Key Responsibilities:- - Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
- Monitor and optimize database performance and query efficiency
- Manage backup and recovery processes using enterprise tools
- Support high availability and failover configurations (e.g., clustering, AlwaysOn)
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure system stability
- Implement and support database security and access controls
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams
Required Skills:- - 3?5 years of experience in database administration or data warehouse environments
- Strong experience in MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of MySQL and/or Oracle databases
- Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Understanding of Windows server environments
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., NetBackup or similar)
- Knowledge of clustering and high availability (SQL Server AlwaysOn, failover clustering)
Preferred Skills:- - Experience with database security tools (e.g., database firewalls like Imperva)
- Exposure to enterprise or production-critical database environments
Qualification:- - Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
