The CPI ABAP Backend Developer is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, building, and supporting SAP integrations and ABAP-based developments across an S/4HANA implementation program.
About the Role
The developer will work across four key process areas — Budget to Report (B2R), Hire to Retire (H2R), Treasury, and Procure to Report (P2R) — delivering end-to-end integration scenarios using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and core ABAP technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance ABAP programs, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, enhancement spots, and custom objects aligned to SAP Clean Core principles.
- Build OData services, RESTful APIs, and CDS views for S/4HANA consumption and integration support.
- Develop ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) extensions where applicable in cloud or private cloud environments.
- Perform ABAP code reviews ensuring adherence to SAP coding standards, naming conventions, and performance best practices.
- Support data migration objects, custom extraction logic, and master/transactional data upload activities.
