Job Summary
The Operations Pharmacist will be responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Operations Manager in the management of daily operational and administrative functions of the Pharmacy so as to ensure provision of medications to patients in an accurate and timely manner. This includes the supervision of Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and locum staff.
Role And Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Operations Manager in the supervision and management of Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and locum staff.
- Oversee preparation and distribution of medications to ensure compliance to operational and regulatory requirements
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining adequate staffing levels to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met
- Plan manpower roster and allocation in order to ensure smooth day to day operations.
- Assist in the development and periodic review of training/competency assessment materials.
- Oversee the training/competency assessment of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants
- Assist in the development and periodic review of operational workflows and processes –including SOPs, Work Instructions and related forms
- Assist in the review and audit of medication safety practices and initiate changes where applicable
- Assist in the management of customer complaints and service recovery
- Assist in the implementation of quality improvement projects
- Oversee inventory management to ensure stock control, adequacy and accuracy.
- Assist in the planning and execution of periodic cycle counts and annual stock take.
- Oversee supporting administrative tasks e.g. closure of billing charges and procurement of pharmacy consumables
- Support in the fufillment of Controlled Drugs Wholesale Orders, including ensuring required documentation.
- Support in receipt of Controlled Drugs stock, including ensuring required documentation.
- Support in inventory management of Controlled Drugs e.g. Inventory counting, reconciliation and disposal
- Any ad hoc duties as assigned, such as cross functional support etc
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) or equivalent recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council
- Full registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council and in active practice
- Experience in medication delivery services or warehouse logistics will be advantageous
- Proficient in use of inventory management systems and Excel for management of inventory

- Usual Working Hours: Mon - Thur 8.30am to 6pm, Fri till 5.30pm; Alt Sat 8.30am to 12.30pm
- Flexibility to extend hours on a rotating basis (standby) when required in event of load requirements
