About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Consumer team during this pivotal period of growth and innovation. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and refining our multi-product, personalized digital experiences for home sellers and buyers. Your work will involve creating scalable, user-centric features that enhance our platform’s functionality, reliability, and user engagement. As a product-focused engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and operations to identify user pain points and craft elegant solutions. You will take ownership of both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality performance across the entire stack. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of full stack software development experience in a SaaS environment.
- Proven expertise in object-oriented design and programming (OOD/OOP).
- Extensive experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, HTML5, and CSS.
- At least 5+ years of back-end development experience with languages such as Ruby, Go, or Python.
- Strong understanding of building scalable, maintainable user interfaces and backend systems.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and operations.
- Familiarity with our tech stack: React, Typescript, gRPC, Kafka, GraphQL, Rails, Postgres, AWS.
- A passion for developing intuitive, impactful software solutions that solve real-world problems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into elegant, scalable solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features with a focus on user experience, performance, and reliability.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, contributing to reusable UI components and scalable architecture.
- Lead end-to-end feature development, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
- Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior team members, and promote best practices in software development.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and automate manual tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations teams to implement technological solutions that enhance customer support and reduce friction.
- Continuously evaluate and improve code quality, performance, and security standards across the team.
- Engage with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, customer-centric digital experiences.
