Pros: Some of the senior leaders in the Ashburn, VA data center are truly knowledgeable. They genuinely understand the complex nature of our digital infrastructure work. There's also good job stability for Data Center Technician roles in this corporate environment.
Cons: The biggest issue is inconsistent leadership, especially with middle management. It feels like they often micromanage instead of empowering their teams. Communication from higher-ups about strategic changes isn't always transparent, which can be frustrating for those of us working onsite.
Advice to Management: Invest more in leadership training for mid-level managers. Encourage consistent communication across all levels, especially regarding company direction and decisions impacting daily operations. Empower teams more.

Culture is okay, but it's a big company
Pros: Job stability is really solid, which is great in the data center industry. The pay and benefits are pretty decent for a large corporate company. Most of my direct team members were good people and we worked well together.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit impersonal, you're just a cog sometimes. There's a lot of bureaucracy and slow decision-making, which is frustrating as a Data Center Technician. Not much focus on unique local site culture in the Ashburn, VA office.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more localized team culture and empower site managers more. Speed up some of those internal processes. It would help a lot for people like us working onsite.
