Leadership Can Be Hit or Miss Here
Pros: Decent benefits package and the hybrid work model is solid, which is good for work-life balance. For insurance professionals, the pay is pretty competitive, especially if you hit your metrics. The Dallas office team is mostly collaborative.
Cons: Leadership really needs work in some departments. There's a lot of micromanagement, especially for Claims Adjuster roles, which can be frustrating. Communication from upper management isn't always clear, leading to confusion on policy updates.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving middle management training. Empower team leads more and cut back on the micromanaging for experienced Claims Adjusters. Clearer directives from the top would help everyone.

Solid job for now, not much upward mobility
Pros: Job security is a real plus at CTF Life. As an Underwriter, the work is steady, and they have good benefits. The team in the Phoenix office is generally supportive too. It's a solid company if you like routine in the Life Insurance industry.
Cons: Career growth is really slow. There aren't many opportunities to move up, especially in Underwriter roles. You often see people stuck in the same position for years. It's a very corporate environment, so promotions feel like they take forever.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer paths for career advancement, particularly for Underwriter roles. Invest in training and mentorship programs to help employees move up within the Life Insurance industry. It would really help with retention.

Pay is just okay, benefits need work
Pros: The base salary for a Financial Analyst is decent, especially if you're entry-level. You get solid health insurance, which is a big plus. It's a pretty stable environment for a corporate job in Dallas, TX.
Cons: The pay doesn't really keep up with market rates after a few years here. Raises are pretty tiny, and bonus potential isn't great in the financial services industry. The 401k match is pretty low compared to other big financial institutions.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate compensation bands for experienced employees and improve the 401k matching program. It would help retain talent in our Financial Analyst positions.
