Startup life means good skills, but tricky security.
Pros: Working as a Software Engineer here, you get great exposure to different tech stacks. It's awesome for leveling up your skills and being remote offers solid work flexibility in the tech talent space.
Cons: The biggest issue is job security. Being a startup means things can shift fast in the startup ecosystem, which makes long-term planning tough for us engineers.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate more transparently about funding and future projects. It would help ease job security concerns for engineers.

Remote Work is the Real Perk
Pros: The flexibility for remote Software Engineer roles here is pretty good. I could work from anywhere, which was a game-changer for my family. It's great for independent contributors in the tech industry.
Cons: Sometimes, the WFH setup felt a bit disconnected. Getting quick answers asynchronously can be tough. While flexible, there wasn't much option for hybrid work if you ever wanted an office day.
Advice to Management: Maybe consider optional co-working spaces or more structured virtual team events to build connection. Improve asynchronous communication tools for faster responses.

Leadership is okay, still finding their stride
Pros: Some managers are really good at coaching and giving feedback. There's a decent focus on developing folks, which is nice for a startup environment. We do have solid remote work flexibility.
Cons: The overall company vision from top leadership can feel a bit scattered sometimes. It's tough when direction changes for key initiatives, especially for us working with engineering talent. There's also not always clear communication on strategic shifts.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate the bigger picture and strategic shifts more consistently. Clearer goals from the top would really help everyone stay aligned.
