Pros: You get a hybrid model here, which is nice. For Software Engineer roles, two WFH days a week is pretty standard in the Johannesburg office, which helps with the commute. The setup for remote access for vehicle tracking solutions is solid.
Cons: True flexibility isn't really there beyond the WFH days. If you need to shift your hours for personal stuff, it's often a struggle, especially for technical roles. They really prefer you in the corporate office for most collaboration.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible hours for technical roles, even if it means adjusting team meeting times. It would boost morale a lot and align with a modern work approach.

Pros: My direct manager was pretty supportive, which really helped as a Sales Consultant trying to hit targets in the competitive telematics industry. They were good about letting us manage our own client portfolios.
Cons: Upper leadership in the Johannesburg office felt a bit disconnected from daily operations. There's not much clear vision from the top for our fleet management solutions, which makes planning tough and sometimes decisions just don't make sense.
Advice to Management: Really try to communicate your strategy better to the teams on the ground. It would help everyone, especially those of us selling, understand where we're headed and make more informed choices.

Pros: You get standard leave and decent public holidays. Some teams might have better work-from-home options, but for us in fleet support, we're mostly on-site in the Johannesburg office, which can be good for collaboration.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't great, honestly. As a Fleet Support Specialist, you're expected to be at the office almost every day. There's not much room for hybrid work or adjusting your hours in this corporate setting. It makes it tough to balance personal stuff.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more hybrid work options for roles that don't absolutely require 100% onsite presence. It would really help with employee retention and morale, especially in the competitive telematics industry.
