RedDoorz
Southeast Asia · Founded 2015 · Hospitality Technology

RedDoorz is Southeast Asia's largest tech-enabled hospitality platform — built to help independent hotel and property owners compete, grow, and thrive in a rapidly evolving travel market.

Powered by a 100% in-house AI platform, RedDoorz gives thousands of properties access to enterprise-grade technology: machine learning-driven dynamic pricing, AI-powered demand forecasting, automated operations, computer vision for listing quality, and intelligent guest engagement — all through a single, unified stack. The platform processes hundreds of signals per property daily, continuously optimising for revenue and occupancy in real time.

What makes RedDoorz distinct is its multi-brand architecture — 7 hospitality brands built entirely ground-up and in-house, each serving a distinct segment of the market. From RedDoorz Classic at the budget end, to lifestyle brand Sans, premium properties under Sunerra and Urbanview, and alternative stays through Lavana and RedLiving, the portfolio spans economy to premium with proven product-market fit at every tier. No acquisitions, no white-labelling — every brand conceived, designed, and scaled from within.

With deep local market expertise built across 300+ cities over a decade, RedDoorz combines the scale of a hospitality group with the speed and efficiency of a product-first technology company. The result is structural operating leverage: as the network grows, the platform gets smarter, properties perform better, and owners stay longer.

Asset-light by design and profitable by discipline, RedDoorz is backed by some of Asia's most respected institutional investors — Asia Partners, Jungle Ventures, Qiming Venture Partners, and SIG — and is building the hospitality infrastructure that Southeast Asia's middle class has long needed, and that no one else has come close to building at this scale.

Decent learning, but tough work-life balance
Pros: You get good exposure to the hospitality tech industry. There's a lot of room to take initiative as a Product Manager. WFH flexibility is sometimes an option, which is nice.
Cons: Work-life balance is pretty tough here. I often found myself working late nights, especially before big launches. Some teams, particularly for Product Manager roles, are pressured to work weekends.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce clearer boundaries around working hours for teams, especially Product Managers. Encourage people to truly disconnect after work. Burnout is real and it hits productivity.

Leadership at RedDoorz is a mixed bag
Pros: You get exposed to a lot in this fast-growing company. Senior leaders have deep knowledge in hospitality tech, which is great for learning. It's good for ambitious Product Managers who want to quickly gain experience.
Cons: Leadership communication can be really inconsistent. Decisions change often, making long-term planning for the Jakarta office tough. Sometimes there's not enough strategic clarity, especially for hybrid work teams.
Advice to Management: Please work on more consistent messaging and clearer strategic direction from the top. It would help teams like Product Management immensely with execution and stability.

Pay is Okay, Benefits Could Improve
Pros: As a Product Manager, the base pay was pretty solid, especially for a rapidly expanding hospitality tech startup in Jakarta. It's a good starting point.
Cons: The benefits are pretty minimal. Health insurance is just okay, and don't count on big annual raises. For tech roles, the overall compensation package isn't super compelling long-term, even with our hybrid work setup.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the entire compensation strategy, particularly the benefits and annual increment structure, to attract and retain top talent for critical tech roles.
