Pros: I really like the projects we work on; it's genuinely interesting to develop digital health solutions. The team in the Boston, MA office is super collaborative and smart, which makes the day-to-day enjoyable. Work-life balance for a Software Engineer is actually pretty solid, no constant late nights.
Cons: The biggest downside is career progression. There isn't a clear path for technical roles like mine to move up. It often feels like you have to wait for someone to leave before an opportunity opens, which is frustrating. I haven't seen much investment in professional development either.
Advice to Management: You guys need to seriously think about creating clearer career ladders and development programs, especially for your engineering team. It would help a lot with retention and employee motivation.
