Pay's Okay, Benefits Are Decent for a Startup
Pros: I've worked as a Software Engineer here for a bit. The Fintech startup offers pretty solid health insurance, which is a big plus. You also get good WFH flexibility, which is a nice perk for a remote role.
Cons: Honestly, the base salary isn't competitive, especially for a Software Engineer. I feel like my compensation could be higher elsewhere in the industry. There aren't many extra benefits beyond the basics, so don't expect much.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate market rates for Software Engineer compensation to attract and retain top talent. Invest more in performance-based bonuses to incentivize high performers across the company.

Decent work-life balance for a FinTech startup
Pros: The hybrid model is decent, giving some work from home flexibility a few days a week. As a Junior Data Analyst, I usually hit my goals without too much overtime most weeks. The team is collaborative and supportive.
Cons: Sometimes client deadlines are super tight, especially in the fast-paced FinTech space. You can't always avoid late nights when a big project drops. It's not always a true 40-hour week, maybe closer to 45-50 during busy periods.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out project loads more consistently. It'd really help team morale if those rush periods weren't so frequent for financial technology projects. Also, clearly define expectations for 'on-call' or after-hours work.
