Pros: My direct team is awesome and really supportive. As a Software Engineer working remotely, the flexibility is a huge plus. We use pretty modern tech stacks which is nice for skill development.
Cons: The overall company culture feels a bit disjointed, especially for those of us not in the main office. There aren't many opportunities for cross-functional team building in this mid-sized tech company. Sometimes it feels like different departments are in their own silos.
Advice to Management: Invest more in remote team building and cross-departmental events to strengthen the overall company culture for all employees, not just those in the main office.

Pros: Some immediate managers are really solid. They help you learn and push your skills. It's a supportive environment for new devs in software engineering, especially in our hybrid work model.
Cons: Upper leadership, however, often feels pretty out of touch. Communication on strategy can be vague. It leaves the entire development team guessing sometimes, which isn't ideal for project timelines.
Advice to Management: Focus on consistent messaging from the top. More transparent decision-making would boost morale and clarity across all teams.

Pros: I got a solid foundation in backend development, which was great as a new grad. The team is supportive and I learned a lot about specific enterprise software applications. The hybrid work model in the San Francisco office also helped with collaboration.
Cons: There's not much room to move up once you're past the entry level. Promotion cycles for software engineers feel really slow, almost non-existent for intermediate roles. You often see people leave to get promotions elsewhere in the tech industry.
Advice to Management: Please create clearer paths for advancement, especially for software development and engineering talent. Invest in development programs and don't make people wait years for small title bumps.
