Pros: Some team leads are really solid, they trust you to get your work done. As a Software Engineer, you get decent autonomy on projects. The internal team collaboration is pretty good, which helps.
Cons: Upper management at this mid-sized tech company often feels out of touch. Communication about big changes isn't great, so you're left guessing. It's tough to see clear career growth paths when leadership's vision isn't consistent.
Advice to Management: Upper leadership really needs to work on clearer, more frequent communication with the teams. Share the 'why' behind decisions. Also, define clearer career progression paths for technical roles across the board.

Pros: I've met some really good people at IDN. For a mid-size corporate, the teams are pretty collaborative. The hybrid work model in the Dallas office is also a plus, giving some flexibility.
Cons: There's a lack of transparency from senior leadership. Decisions often come down without much explanation. This makes company culture feel a bit disconnected sometimes, especially for us Data Analysts.
Advice to Management: Work on improving communication from the top down. Be more transparent about company decisions and strategic shifts. Also, define clearer career progression paths for individual contributors.
