Junior Software Engineer

Pay is Fine, Benefits Need Work in SF
Pros: Honestly, as a Junior Software Engineer, the base salary was solid. It's competitive for a tech industry entry-level role, especially living in the San Francisco Bay Area. You can definitely get by on what they offer.
Cons: The benefits are where it falls short, though. Healthcare premiums are kinda high, and there's no 401k match, which is a big deal. For a growing tech startup, you'd expect more perks like that from a software development firm.
Advice to Management: Please look into adding a 401k match and finding better healthcare options. It's tough to stay competitive in the San Francisco tech scene without solid benefits to go with decent pay.

Pay Is Okay, Benefits Need Work Here
Pros: The hourly wage for an esthetician in Los Angeles, CA is competitive enough, and you do get a commission on product sales. Our retail commission structure is pretty clear, which is a plus. It's not bad for starting out in the beauty industry.
Cons: The benefits package is definitely lacking. There's no 401k match, and the health insurance deductible is super high. PTO accrual is slow, so taking time off is tough. It really impacts overall compensation.
Advice to Management: Seriously consider improving the benefits, especially health insurance and PTO. It would make a huge difference in retaining good Skincare Specialists.

Pay is okay, but could be better for the work
Pros: The base salary for a Beauty Consultant is actually pretty solid. We get a decent commission structure too when selling skincare products. It's a stable gig in the Jakarta office.
Cons: I feel like the benefits package isn't super competitive compared to other beauty industry jobs. There aren't many opportunities for bonus beyond commissions, which can be tough in slower months. Pay raises don't happen often enough.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into improving the overall benefits package and establish clearer paths for regular pay increases. It would help with employee retention, especially for dedicated Beauty Consultants.
