Pros: I really liked my time as a Financial Analyst with the Rhapsodie Group in their Chicago office. I learned a ton about financial modeling and project valuation, which is great for the investment services industry. The team was generally supportive, and the pay was solid.
Cons: The big issue is job security. There's a constant underlying worry about layoffs, even if you're performing well. It feels like upper management can be a bit opaque about the company's long-term stability, especially for non-revenue roles. You're mostly onsite, so WFH options are very limited.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the business outlook. It would really help reduce anxiety and build trust with employees, especially when it comes to job stability. Investing in retention strategies beyond just compensation would go a long way.
