Okay Flexibility, Depends on Your Team
Pros: Some folks in the Houston, TX office do get a decent hybrid setup. If your team isn't tied to the factory floor, you might snag a couple of WFH days. It's not universal but it's there, which is a plus for a big industrial manufacturer.
Cons: Most of the hands-on industrial manufacturing roles, especially with our cooling systems and heat exchangers, are strictly onsite. Forget about real work-from-home options for those positions. It can make work-life balance tough if you have a long commute.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work flexibility across departments where possible. It feels really uneven right now and impacts employee morale, especially for those stuck fully onsite.

Good technical learning, slow career growth.
Pros: You get solid experience working on complex industrial cooling solutions. As a Process Engineer, I really learned a lot about heat exchanger manufacturing in the Charlotte, NC office. It's a decent place for hands-on technical skill building.
Cons: Career growth isn't always clear or quick here. There aren't many defined paths for moving up, especially in engineering roles. Sometimes you feel stuck without clear development plans for onsite work.
Advice to Management: Create clearer career progression frameworks for engineers. Invest in more training and mentorship programs to help employees see a future here.

Decent Spot for Stability in Industrial Manufacturing
Pros: As a Process Engineer here, I felt pretty secure. There's always work coming in for their heat exchanger technology, which means consistent projects for onsite work. You get a good sense of stability in the Houston office.
Cons: Career growth can feel slow. There aren't many opportunities for advancement, and they stick with older methods sometimes. It's safe, but not super exciting for innovation.
Advice to Management: Focus more on employee development paths and maybe invest a bit more in new technology. It would help retain talent in engineering roles.
