Decent Pay for Tech Roles, Benefits Need Work
Pros: For a Software Engineer, the base salary is pretty solid, especially within the Bay Area tech scene. I've always felt fairly compensated on that front, which is a big plus for mid-sized tech.
Cons: The health insurance plans are just okay, not top-tier. Plus, the 401k matching isn't very strong compared to bigger corporate tech companies.
Advice to Management: Look at improving the benefits package, especially healthcare plans and 401k matching, to stay competitive with other tech industry players.

Okay for entry-level, but growth is tough
Pros: The initial training for new grads and junior software engineers is pretty solid. You learn a lot if you're fresh out of college. There's good mentorship in the Austin, TX office for your first year, which helps a lot.
Cons: Career growth here really stalls after a couple of years. It's hard to get promoted or move into senior engineering roles. Leadership doesn't seem to prioritize internal progression much in this big tech environment.
Advice to Management: Management needs to focus on creating clearer paths for career growth and promotion. Invest more in developing talent for senior engineering roles within the company, not just bringing people in externally.

Leadership is a real mixed bag here
Pros: You'll find some really solid senior engineers and good colleagues, especially in the San Francisco office. We've got interesting software development projects. The hybrid model offers decent work flexibility for us.
Cons: Leadership often shifts priorities without much notice, which makes project planning tough for engineers. It feels like they sometimes don't grasp the day-to-day realities of the tech industry, causing a lot of rework. Career growth for many engineering roles isn't very clear.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate changes more clearly and involve engineering leads earlier in the decision-making process. Understanding the ground-level impact of decisions would really help morale.
