Growth is fine, but you gotta push for it.
Pros: You can definitely pick up new skills and work on interesting cybersecurity projects if you're proactive. They have decent health benefits and the pay for tech roles in the San Francisco office is competitive enough. I've seen some people move up quickly.
Cons: Formal career progression for Software Engineers isn't always clear. It feels like promotions can be slow, especially if your manager isn't great at advocating for you. There's not enough mentorship for junior developers, which hurts long-term career planning.
Advice to Management: Establish clearer paths for career growth and promotion for all engineering roles. Invest more in structured mentorship programs, especially for those in entry and mid-level cybersecurity positions.

Culture is Okay, Teams Are Great
Pros: I've learned a ton working here as a Junior Software Engineer. My direct team is super supportive, and the senior engineers are always ready to help with tricky cybersecurity problems. The hybrid work setup in our Austin, TX office is also a definite plus.
Cons: The company culture at the top feels a bit disconnected sometimes. There's a lot of red tape for a mid-size tech company, which can slow down progress on new software development features. It's tough to feel like your feedback goes anywhere.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with company-wide decisions and streamline some of the internal processes. It would really help us in software development move faster.

Decent Pay, Benefits Are Just Okay
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is actually pretty decent, especially working remotely from Dallas, TX. Health insurance plans are solid too, which is a big plus. It's competitive enough for the cybersecurity industry.
Cons: Bonuses are kinda meh, they don't really move the needle much. Equity compensation, like stock options, is definitely on the lower side compared to other big tech firms. You won't find huge long-term financial incentives here.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the bonus structure and consider offering more competitive equity packages to attract and retain top talent in the cybersecurity space. Other big tech companies are definitely ahead.
