Pros: You get to work on some really interesting infrastructure projects in Malaysia. There's good exposure to new engineering software and design methodologies. The pay is pretty solid for a Civil Engineer role, especially if you're early in your career.
Cons: The 'hybrid' work model here isn't very flexible for project-based roles. It's tough to consistently get those WFH days when you're a field engineer and need to be on site. There's a strong expectation to be in the Kuala Lumpur office even for tasks that could easily be done remotely.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the hybrid policy for project-based engineering roles. Give teams and individual project managers more autonomy to decide WFH schedules based on project needs, not just a blanket corporate rule.
