Decent Pay, But Work-Life Balance is Tough
Pros: The compensation package is pretty solid for a mid-sized tech company. As a Software Engineer, I felt my pay and benefits were competitive. The team collaboration in the San Francisco office is generally good.
Cons: Work-life balance here can be tough, especially for technical roles like mine. We often put in long hours, well over 40 hours a week, especially when client deadlines loom on data engineering projects. The hybrid work model isn't as flexible as advertised.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to address the long hours impacting work-life balance. Burnout is a real concern, especially in demanding tech consulting environments. More effort to protect team's personal time would go a long way.

Decent Work-Life Balance for Software Engineers
Pros: I really appreciate the hybrid model; it helps balance personal and professional life. As a Software Engineer, I usually stick to a pretty standard 40-hour work week in the San Francisco office.
Cons: Sometimes there are unexpected crunch times on bigger IT consulting projects, which can mess up your schedule. It's not always easy to adjust your hours if something pops up last minute.
Advice to Management: Try to give more notice for crunch periods and offer more flexibility when project demands spike, especially for long-term IT consulting engagements.

Pay's decent, benefits could be better though
Pros: As a Data Analyst in the Boston, MA office, the base salary is pretty solid. I've seen worse compensation at other tech consulting firms. They do match a good chunk of 401k too.
Cons: The healthcare plans aren't great, honestly. There's not much room for big raises unless you get promoted, which takes a while for data roles. It's tough when you see market rates jump.
Advice to Management: Review the healthcare benefit packages; they're not competitive. Also, consider more frequent salary band adjustments for current employees in data analytics.
