Career growth for engineers feels limited
Pros: The team I worked with was really solid and collaborative, especially for a remote setup. I appreciated the flexibility to work from home, which made my daily routine much easier. It's a decent place for steady software development tasks.
Cons: Career growth is definitely a challenge for engineering roles here. There aren't many clear paths for promotion, so you can feel stuck after a while. Ambitious Software Engineers might find opportunities to advance pretty limited.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on creating more defined career ladders for their Software Engineers. It would help with motivation and retention, especially for those working remote.

Job Security is a Real Concern Here
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I learned a ton about the HR tech industry. The team's pretty good, and there's a lot of interesting project work if you like building new stuff. I was usually getting my 40 hours in.
Cons: But job security is a real concern, especially for a mid-size tech company like WORQ. There's been a lot of reorgs in the Austin office lately, and it feels like engineering roles are always under review. It makes planning tough.
Advice to Management: Focus on retaining talent and providing clear career paths. The constant changes really impact morale and make people nervous about their future.
