Flexibility is decent, but not fully remote
Pros: As a **Software Engineer**, I've found the **work flexibility** to be decent. We usually get 2-3 days **WFH** a week, which helps avoid some **Jakarta** traffic. It's solid for most individual contributor roles in this **tech company**.
Cons: While **hybrid work** is offered, it's not truly flexible across the board. The policy can change without much notice, and some teams feel pressure to be **onsite** more often. For an **online travel** platform, I expected a bit more freedom.
Advice to Management: Try to make the **work flexibility** policy more consistent and transparent. Also, consider more remote options, especially for roles that can easily be done from anywhere. It'd really help attract and retain talent in the **online travel** industry.

Work-life balance can be a real challenge
Pros: You get to work on some pretty interesting problems as a Software Engineer for a leading online travel agency. There's a lot of opportunity to learn new tech in the Jakarta office, which is a big plus for career growth.
Cons: The work-life balance here is often tough. Expect long hours, especially when project deadlines hit for core development teams. It feels like management expects you to always be available, which isn't great for personal time.
Advice to Management: Try to manage project scope better and hire more staff for critical tech roles. It would really help reduce burnout and improve the work-life balance across the company.

Decent Pay for Tech, Benefits are Pretty Standard
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the base salary is competitive for a tech startup in Jakarta. I've received a yearly bonus, which is a nice extra. Health insurance is solid too, which is a must-have.
Cons: The benefits package isn't as robust as what you'd see at some other big tech companies in the e-commerce industry. Don't really expect stock options unless you're in a very senior role. Annual raises can feel a bit small, so pay growth isn't super fast here.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing the overall benefits package to truly compete with industry leaders, especially for mid-level and senior technical roles. More long-term incentives beyond just salary would be great.
