Culture is good, but demands are high
Pros: I've learned a lot as a Software Engineer here. The team is super smart, especially when tackling complex telecommunications software challenges. There's a real drive to innovate, which is cool.
Cons: The company culture can be pretty intense. Expect long hours, sometimes it feels like a marathon, not a sprint. Work-life balance for remote employees could definitely be better.
Advice to Management: Encourage more consistent work-life boundaries for the team. Burnout is a real concern when pushing people this hard, especially with fully remote setups. Invest more in mental health support.

Pay's okay, but benefits could be better.
Pros: The base salary as a Software Engineer is competitive enough for someone working remote. You get a solid amount of PTO. It's fine for a mid-size tech company.
Cons: Health benefits aren't great; high deductibles are a pain. Also, there's no 401k match, which feels like a miss for an enterprise software company. Total compensation isn't as robust as bigger tech.
Advice to Management: Look into better health plans and consider adding a 401k match. It'd really help with talent retention in this competitive telecom software space.

LotusFlare: Decent Company, But Job Security Wobbly
Pros: I liked the challenging projects. We worked on cutting-edge cloud native solutions, which was great for skill development as a Software Engineer. The remote work flexibility from California was also a big plus.
Cons: Job security here isn't great, especially for newer hires. The company went through some layoffs recently, and it left a lot of us feeling unsure. It feels like a startup still, so budgets can shift fast.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. It would really help with employee morale and retention when job security feels shaky for us remote workers.
