Junior Project Manager

Okay Pay, Benefits Need Work
Pros: The base salary for a Junior Project Manager is pretty decent for a mid-sized tech company. They offer solid health insurance, which is a big plus.
Cons: Raises are tough to get here; it's hard to move up the pay scale. The bonus structure isn't great, especially if you're in a remote setup. Don't expect top-tier retirement matching either.
Advice to Management: Seriously re-evaluate the compensation bands and bonus structures. It's tough to retain good talent if pay isn't competitive with other tech industry firms, even for entry-level PM roles. Boost the 401k match too.

Software Engineer

Leadership needs a reality check.
Pros: I've enjoyed the flexibility of remote work here. The team is collaborative, which makes the day-to-day coding tasks okay. We do get decent holidays, which is a plus for work-life balance.
Cons: Leadership struggles to provide clear direction for project initiatives. As a Software Engineer, I often felt my input wasn't valued. There's a real disconnect between upper management and individual contributors in this mid-size tech company.
Advice to Management: Get more involved with the engineering teams. Listen to the folks doing the actual development work. Better communication and understanding of project scope would help everyone.
