Pros: I really appreciate the hybrid model here. As an Electrical Engineer, I get to WFH a few days a week, which is great. Flexible start times are a big plus for managing my personal life.
Cons: Full remote isn't really an option for most engineering roles. You still need to be in the Seattle office quite a bit, especially for collaborative structural engineering projects. Can be tough if you have a long commute.
Advice to Management: Consider expanding full WFH options for roles that truly don't require constant onsite presence. It could really boost morale for your Seattle office employees.

Pros: The hybrid model is a solid perk. We get 2 days Work From Home (WFH) for most of the engineering roles. It's good for focusing on detailed CAD work without office distractions.
Cons: The work flexibility can be tough with client deadlines. Sometimes you can't really use the WFH option when there are onsite meetings. It feels a bit like a corporate environment where changes are slow for the Houston office team.
Advice to Management: Management should look at more flexible options for structural engineering projects. Maybe empower teams to decide their own hybrid schedule. It would help with employee morale.

Pros: The company offers a hybrid model, which is a decent perk. Being able to work remotely from my home office a couple of days a week is nice for heads-down design work on our civil engineering projects. It helps avoid daily commute traffic in Dallas.
Cons: The 'flexibility' is often pretty rigid. You still have set in-office days, and it's tough to swap them if something comes up. As a Junior Civil Engineer, I've found that project deadlines and client meetings often pull you onsite more than the policy suggests. True work-life balance can be a struggle when unexpected onsite work pops up.
Advice to Management: Try to offer real flexibility beyond just a hybrid schedule. Trust your employees more to manage their time and be effective, even if it means adjusting schedules occasionally for personal needs.
