Pros: I learned a ton working on product development for LG's consumer electronics. My direct team was really supportive, and you get exposed to a lot of global projects. The benefits were solid for a big tech company.
Cons: The corporate environment can feel pretty slow sometimes. Decisions take ages, and there's a lot of bureaucracy, which can be frustrating for a Product Manager. The hybrid work model often felt more like mandatory onsite days than true flexibility.
Advice to Management: Try to empower teams more and speed up the decision-making process. More genuine flexibility for the hybrid model would really help improve morale and make it a better place for Product Manager roles.

Pros: I really liked the stability working here as a Software Engineer in the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office. The projects in consumer electronics R&D were solid, and you get to learn from experienced folks. Standard 40-hour work weeks were mostly the norm, which was a plus for a big corporate environment.
Cons: Leadership can be very top-down and slow, especially when trying to innovate. It's tough to get new software ideas approved, and sometimes it feels like upper management doesn't truly grasp the day-to-day engineering challenges. Communication from the top isn't always clear, leading to some frustration.
Advice to Management: Try to empower middle management more and listen to the engineering teams on the ground. Be more open to innovation and quicker decision-making processes.
