Culture is solid but can be tough
Pros: You learn a ton, especially as a junior Consultant in financial services consulting. There are smart people around, always good for bouncing ideas. The hybrid work setup in the New York City office gives some flexibility.
Cons: Work-life balance for client-facing Consultant roles is a real struggle. The corporate culture can feel very 'billable hours' driven, making it tough to step away. It often feels like you're always on.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into better managing workloads for consulting teams. It's hard to build a strong team culture when everyone is constantly burned out. Maybe more support staff or clearer project scoping would help.

Pay is Okay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: You get a solid base salary for an Associate Consultant in New York City, especially compared to smaller firms. The healthcare benefits are pretty good too. It's a stable company in the financial advisory space.
Cons: Bonuses can feel pretty inconsistent, and it's not always clear how they're calculated. Raises aren't always what you'd hope for, and the 401k match isn't super competitive. For the hours we put in, the overall compensation package could be stronger.
Advice to Management: Make bonus structures more transparent and consider increasing the 401k match to attract and retain top talent in the financial advisory industry.

Pay is Decent, Benefits are Just Alright
Pros: The base salary for an Associate Consultant in the New York City office is pretty competitive for entry-level financial advisory roles. Health insurance plans are solid and cover most things you'd expect.
Cons: Bonuses aren't as high as other corporate firms, especially when you compare hours worked. The 401k match isn't great, and there aren't many extra perks or real pay raises for cyber security professionals.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the bonus structure and improving the 401k match to keep employees happy and attract top talent in the risk management space. Invest more in competitive compensation plans.

Demanding but good experience for early career.
Pros: You get exposed to a lot in financial advisory, which is great for learning quickly. The team in the New York office is generally helpful and supportive, which really makes a difference when you're working late. It's a solid place to kick off your career in consulting.
Cons: Work-life balance as an Associate Consultant is pretty tough here. You're looking at 60-70 hour weeks, especially during busy project cycles, which leaves little time for anything else. The hybrid model doesn't always translate to much flexibility, often requiring significant onsite work.
Advice to Management: Try to implement clearer boundaries for junior staff regarding working hours. Also, consider better resource allocation to prevent burnout in entry-level consulting roles. More genuine work flexibility would help a lot.

Solid Experience, But Growth Can Feel Slow
Pros: I've learned a ton about risk management consulting. There are many smart people in the New York City office, which is great for learning by osmosis. You get decent exposure to diverse client projects.
Cons: Career growth here, especially for associate consultant roles, isn't always clear. It feels like you really have to push hard to move up. Promotions can be slow, and the paths sometimes seem vague.
Advice to Management: Management should create more transparent career development plans for junior staff. Make sure everyone understands what they need to do for promotions. More mentorship programs would help too.

Hybrid is Tricky, Long Hours Expected
Pros: I liked the hybrid work model initially. Working from home a couple days a week was a nice perk for a Financial Analyst. You can manage some personal appointments if you plan well.
Cons: The work flexibility really depends on your project. Many times, there's pressure to be onsite in the New York City office, even for minor things. Expect long days, often more than 50 hours, especially during busy periods in risk consulting.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more consistent remote options across teams. Clearer expectations on hybrid work for financial advisory services would help. Not everyone needs to be in the New York City office five days a week.

Solid place in financial advisory, pretty secure
Pros: Job security is pretty good here, even during slower times in the financial advisory industry. As a Senior Associate, I felt like my role was important, and the firm really values experience. Being a global firm helps diversify projects, so there's always work.
Cons: The trade-off for that security can be intense project demands, especially if you're working out of the New York office. Sometimes it feels like they pile on tasks rather than hire more people. Promotions can feel a bit slow too, making growth less predictable.
Advice to Management: Try to balance workloads better across teams. Don't overwork the reliable folks just because they deliver.

Okay Pay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: As a Financial Analyst, the base salary in the New York City office was pretty competitive for entry-level roles in the financial consulting industry. They offer decent health insurance options and a 401k match that's okay, not great. You do get an annual bonus, which helps a bit.
Cons: However, raises don't really keep up with the cost of living, especially in NYC. It's tough to feel like you're progressing financially over time. The benefit package felt pretty standard; no real standout perks compared to other corporate environments. Commuter benefits could also be more robust.
Advice to Management: Focus on making compensation increases more competitive year-over-year, especially for key roles. Also, consider adding more unique benefits to the package to truly stand out. It would really help with employee retention and morale.

Tough Hours in Financial Advisory, Some Flexibility
Pros: I did appreciate the hybrid model for the New York City office, which helped sometimes. The team was pretty supportive during busy periods. It's a corporate environment, so things are structured.
Cons: As an Associate Consultant, the workload on due diligence projects can be insane. Expect long weeks, often 60+ hours, especially around deadlines. Work-life balance here isn't always great, especially for entry-level financial advisory roles.
Advice to Management: Consider more realistic project timelines for corporate investigations and due diligence projects. It would help prevent burnout for junior staff.

Growth is there, but you gotta fight for it
Pros: You get great exposure to diverse financial advisory consulting projects. It's a good place to learn a ton, especially for Senior Analyst roles. The training resources are actually pretty solid for a large corporate firm.
Cons: Career progression often feels slow unless you actively chase opportunities. It's easy to get stuck on repetitive risk management projects. The promotion cycles can be super rigid, even if you're performing well in the New York City office.
Advice to Management: Management should really work on clearer career paths and more proactive mentorship. Don't make Senior Analysts wait so long for promotion. Also, try to distribute the more interesting risk management projects better across teams.
