Customer Support Specialist

Decent flexibility, could be better
Pros: They offer a pretty solid hybrid model, letting Customer Support Specialists do some remote work days which is a huge plus. It helps a lot in the telehealth industry where shifts can be varied, so having some WFH options is good.
Cons: However, true flexibility beyond the set hybrid days is tough to get. Changing shifts last minute or full-time remote work outside of emergencies isn't really an option here. It limits real personal scheduling when you need it most.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more genuine flexibility, not just a fixed hybrid schedule. Give team leads more power to approve ad-hoc WFH requests or shift swaps. It would really boost morale for teams needing that extra bit of give.

Decent place, but startup vibes mean less security
Pros: The team is super collaborative; everyone's pretty passionate about the digital health mission. You learn a ton working in a fast-paced health tech startup like this. Plus, being remote from Sydney gives good flexibility.
Cons: Job security is definitely a concern. We've seen some team restructuring, which makes people nervous. As a Product Manager, you always wonder if your role is truly stable in this kind of rapidly changing environment. It's not a place for long-term comfort.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication regarding company stability and future plans. It would really help calm nerves and improve job security perception for remote employees and those in critical product roles.

Great Flexibility for Remote Roles
Pros: The WFH policy here is genuinely good; you can really set your own hours. Being able to work remote from Melbourne gave me a lot of personal freedom. It's a huge plus for life balance.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like you're always connected, even with all the flexibility. Collaboration can be tricky with a fully remote startup team when people are in different time zones. Clearer communication about 'off' hours would help.
Advice to Management: Keep promoting asynchronous work and consider tools that better manage time zone differences for a smoother remote experience. Remind everyone it's okay to disconnect.

Decent Flexibility, But Can Improve
Pros: Working remote from Melbourne most of the week was a huge plus. The WFH option is strong, and that's good for personal appointments. It helps keep some work-life balance.
Cons: The 'hybrid' work model wasn't always truly flexible. We sometimes had to be in the Sydney office, which is tough when you're remote. Is work flexibility here truly cutting-edge? Not really for our product development teams.
Advice to Management: Truly embrace the remote culture and allow more asynchronous work for teams across different cities. Rethink mandatory 'office days' for those who aren't physically local.

Solid Pay, Benefits Could Be Clearer
Pros: The base salary for a Product Manager is pretty solid for a startup in the digital health sector. They offer a good health allowance and decent superannuation. It's competitive for Sydney.
Cons: The bonus system isn't very transparent, which is tough. Salary reviews aren't always consistent across the company. Stock options aren't a major perk here, which can be a dealbreaker for some tech roles.
Advice to Management: Standardize the bonus process and ensure yearly compensation reviews are a clear part of the employee lifecycle. More transparency around equity would help with retention for Product Manager roles.

Decent balance for a growing healthtech startup
Pros: I've worked as a Software Engineer here remotely from Sydney for a while. The work flexibility is pretty solid, and WFH helps a lot. It's a perk of working for a modern healthtech startup.
Cons: There's definitely pressure to deliver. Sometimes, the workload for digital health products can spill into evenings. It's not always a true 40-hour week, especially during product launches.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer expectations for project timelines. Support managers in protecting their teams from constant weekend work.

Okay flexibility, but room to improve
Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work model. We can mostly choose our days in the Sydney office, which is a big plus for work-life balance. It's not rigid, so for many tech roles, you get some freedom.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility for Product Manager tasks clashes with team needs, making WFH days less productive if others are in. There's not always consistent communication about office days, which can be annoying.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer expectations for hybrid work, especially for cross-functional teams. More transparency on 'in-office' days would help.

Solid culture for a health tech startup
Pros: People are genuinely nice and super helpful. As a Software Engineer, I found the engineering team really collaborative in the remote setup. The vibe here is positive, especially for a health tech startup focused on digital health.
Cons: Sometimes things move really fast, which can feel a bit chaotic. Communication could be clearer across departments; it's tough when you're growing quickly. Maintaining those strong personal connections as a remote company takes extra effort.
Advice to Management: Keep working on cross-department communication. Find more ways to really foster connections among the remote team members.

Growth is tough, but you learn a lot
Pros: As a Product Designer, I've gotten to touch a lot of different projects within the digital health space. Being a startup, you learn a ton just by doing and taking initiative.
Cons: Career growth is definitely a challenge here. There's no formal mentorship program for product roles, so you're often figuring things out yourself. Promotion paths aren't super clear, especially for individual contributors.
Advice to Management: Invest in structured career development and mentorship programs for all roles. Make promotion criteria transparent, especially for individual contributors in the health tech space. People want to see a clear path forward.
