Pay is Fine, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is pretty solid, especially for a mid-sized SaaS startup. I've seen worse. Health insurance coverage is decent too, which is a big plus in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Cons: Beyond the base, though, it's tough. Bonuses are super low, almost non-existent for most roles. And the stock options package isn't great; you don't really feel like you have skin in the game. Don't expect many perks beyond the standard benefits.
