Decent place for digital media, but watch your hours
Pros: I liked the WFH flexibility for my Associate Editor role, which really helps with commuting in NYC. The benefits package is pretty solid for a corporate company, too.
Cons: The content publishing deadlines can be pretty brutal sometimes, making work-life balance tough. You often feel pressure to work beyond 40 hours, especially for publishing roles.
Advice to Management: Try to set more realistic expectations for content publishing schedules. Burnout is real, especially for junior-level staff.

Decent Flexibility for a Big Media Company
Pros: I've really appreciated the hybrid model for my digital marketing specialist role; it's a solid perk. Being able to work remote a couple days a week from the NYC office commute makes a big difference. It definitely helps manage personal life better.
Cons: The biggest issue is that work flexibility isn't consistent across teams. Your direct manager has a lot of say, which means some teams have less remote option than others. It's not truly flexible if it's not standardized for everyone.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid and remote work policies across all departments. This would make the company more attractive for tech and digital media talent seeking true work flexibility.

Remote is good, but job security isn't great
Pros: Remote work is a big plus for content creation roles. I've really liked the WFH setup from Austin. They have solid projects in the digital publishing space, which keeps things interesting.
Cons: Job security is a real worry here. There's constant restructuring across the company. As an Associate Editor, you never feel truly safe from sudden changes.
Advice to Management: Communicate more openly about restructuring plans. Try to retain talent instead of constant layoffs, especially in the digital publishing sector. It would improve morale and job security.
