Decent Flexibility for Engineering Teams
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I really liked the hybrid model. I could WFH a couple days a week which was super helpful. They offer remote work for some positions, which is a big plus for a company in the real estate software industry.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't consistent across all departments. Some managers push for more onsite time at the Solon, Ohio office, even when it's not strictly necessary. It feels a bit old-school sometimes, not like a modern PropTech company.
Advice to Management: Please standardize remote and hybrid policies across all engineering teams. Make sure managers support WFH when possible for your employees.

Steady Role in Real Estate Software
Pros: If you're looking for job stability in the real estate software space, this is a pretty solid choice. As an Implementation Consultant, there's always project work. It's a big, corporate environment, so they don't do mass layoffs often.
Cons: Career growth can feel slow sometimes, especially for experienced folks. The workload can get heavy, which makes you wonder about burnout, even if your job isn't directly threatened.
Advice to Management: Try to create clearer paths for advancement for existing employees. Manage project loads better to prevent consultant burnout.

Okay Place, But Culture Needs Work
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the team I worked with in the Atlanta, GA office was solid. We had good benefits and the pay for enterprise software was pretty decent, even if raises weren't huge.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty corporate and siloed. There's not much innovation happening, and it's tough to get projects approved. It can be a slow pace for engineering roles.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more cross-team collaboration and empower engineers to drive innovation. Less bureaucracy would really help. Listen to your teams more.

MRI Software: Hybrid is good, culture could be better
Pros: I've been working on interesting projects for their property management software. The hybrid work setup is a solid plus. It's nice to have that flexibility as a software engineer.
Cons: The overall company culture feels pretty corporate and slow. It's tough when teams don't really cross-collaborate. This makes it less engaging for folks in real estate tech.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating more opportunities for teams to interact. Break down some of those internal silos to improve the overall company culture.

Leadership Needs a Reality Check
Pros: My direct team members are great to work with, super collaborative. The benefits are decent for a mid-sized tech company. We do have a hybrid model for some work flexibility, which is good.
Cons: Leadership often misses the mark. Decisions come down from above with little input from those actually building the property management software. Communication on big picture items for real estate tech is really inconsistent.
Advice to Management: Try to involve the engineering teams in product strategy earlier. It's tough when we feel disconnected from the vision for our solutions. More transparency from senior leadership would go a long way in the Solon, Ohio office.

Hybrid is okay, but crunch time hits hard
Pros: I do appreciate the hybrid work model; getting those WFH days is a lifesaver. As a Software Engineer, you get to work on some interesting real estate tech projects. The benefits package is decent, too.
Cons: The work-life balance can be tough when release cycles hit. Sometimes you're looking at 50+ hour weeks, which isn't ideal. It feels like project management isn't always realistic with timelines for property management software updates.
Advice to Management: Management needs to set more realistic expectations for project timelines. Rushing releases impacts developer burnout and code quality.

Solid Remote Role, Growth is a Grind
Pros: I've really enjoyed the remote work setup; it's a huge plus for my work-life balance as a Product Support Analyst. The health benefits are good for a mid-sized tech company, which is nice.
Cons: Career growth, especially for Product Support roles, feels super slow here in this corporate environment. It's tough to move up or even get cross-training on other parts of their property management software.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on creating clearer career paths for Product Support Analyst and similar roles. Invest in cross-training and internal mobility programs to keep good people from feeling stuck in the property management software niche.

Decent work flexibility, could be better
Pros: They do offer some remote work options, which is nice for software development roles. The hybrid model is pretty standard; I'm usually in the Solon office 2-3 days a week. It's not terrible and flexible hours help sometimes.
Cons: True work-from-home (WFH) is tough to get approved for full-time in many teams. Sometimes you feel pressured to be in the office, even when remote work is fine. The proptech industry moves fast, but company policies can lag.
Advice to Management: Be clearer on remote work policies for all teams. Trust your employees more to manage their time and locations.

Job Security is Okay, Not Great
Pros: As a Client Support Analyst, I felt pretty secure in my day-to-day. The company provides essential property management software, so there's usually consistent demand. You'll always have work to do, that's for sure.
Cons: There's constant talk about restructuring, especially after acquisitions. It felt like some departments were always on edge. It's not a place for zero changes in a corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about internal changes. It'd really help reduce anxiety when rumors of restructuring spread around the Cleveland, OH office. Stability matters to your teams.

Job Security is Decent, Watch Out for Mergers
Pros: MRI is a big player in property management software, so the company isn't going anywhere. There's a solid customer base. For most regular roles, it's pretty stable in the Solon, OH office.
Cons: The constant acquisitions can make job security tough for some teams, especially in software engineering. You never quite know if your role might get absorbed or restructured. It creates some uncertainty.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent with employees about the long-term impact of acquisitions on specific teams and roles. It would help a lot with morale and reduce anxiety for those in technical roles.
