Pros: The hybrid model is great, letting me work from home a couple of days a week. That flexibility is a huge plus for managing personal life. The benefits are decent too for a big food company.
Cons: As a Marketing Manager, the hours can get long, especially during big product launches in the CPG industry. There's an expectation to be 'always on' and it's tough to disconnect. Even in the Battle Creek, MI office, evenings sometimes disappear.
Advice to Management: Encourage managers to really protect employees' time, especially for roles like Marketing Manager during busy periods. More resources or better workload planning could improve overall work-life balance.

Pros: I've found the work-life balance pretty decent here, especially for a big corporate company in the CPG industry. Most weeks, I actually hit around 40 hours as a Marketing Manager. There's also solid vacation time you can actually use.
Cons: There are definitely crunch times, especially around big product launches for our snack brands. Sometimes the hybrid model means you're in the Chicago office but still on calls with folks in other time zones. Weekends are usually fine, but expect late nights occasionally.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage workloads during peak season for Marketing and Sales teams. More consistency in the hybrid policy across departments would also help. It'd make a big difference for us in the Chicago office.

Pros: Work-life balance here is decent, thanks to the hybrid work setup in the Chicago office. For marketing roles, collaboration with product development teams is solid. There's a good push for diversity now, which is nice to see.
Cons: It's still a big corporate machine, so change feels really slow. Old ways of doing things in the CPG industry can be tough to break. Some teams have better leadership than others, making the culture inconsistent.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing on the culture initiatives. Really empower managers to make decisions and foster new ways of working, especially for mid-level roles. Consistency across departments is key.
