Career growth is slow for technical roles.
Pros: The team is really collaborative, which is nice. I've learned a lot from senior engineers on daily tasks, especially about debugging complex systems. The hybrid work model is pretty flexible too.
Cons: It's tough to move up for technical roles like a Software Engineer. There isn't a clear path for career progression, which can be frustrating in a mid-sized tech company. Promotion cycles feel super arbitrary sometimes.
Advice to Management: Develop clearer career ladders and mentorship programs for technical roles. It would help retain talent if people knew how to progress beyond their current position.

Okay Hybrid Work, Could Be Better
Pros: The hybrid work model is decent. As a Software Engineer, I liked having a couple of remote days each week. It definitely helped cut down on my commute to the San Francisco office.
Cons: But those remote days aren't truly flexible. You're still expected to be online for very specific hours, which is pretty rigid. There's not much room to shift your schedule in this tech industry role, even for personal appointments.
