Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer is definitely competitive, especially in the Austin, TX market. It's a solid starting point. The health insurance is okay, and you get some basic remote work perks like a home office stipend, which is nice.
Cons: Don't expect huge annual raises; they're mostly cost-of-living adjustments, which isn't great for career progression. The bonus structure is really tough to hit, so actual total compensation often disappoints. Parental leave also isn't as robust as what I've seen at other big tech firms.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into making the bonus structure more achievable and review the annual raise policy to better reward performance. Improving parental leave would also make TMC more competitive.

Pros: The teams are usually good, you work with smart people. We get to work on some interesting tech industry projects. The hybrid work model is a definite plus for many.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't great, especially for core hours. As a Software Engineer, it's tough to adjust your schedule for appointments. The company's WFH policy still feels pretty rigid, not ideal for everyone.
Advice to Management: Trust your Software Engineers more. Give them better flexibility around core hours. It would really help with work-life balance.

Pros: The work-life balance here is pretty decent for Project Manager roles, especially compared to startups. I usually stuck to a 40-hour week in the Austin, TX office. It's nice to actually have your evenings and weekends back.
Cons: Sometimes there's a push for project deadlines, so a few weeks can be tough. There's not much work flexibility for WFH, it's mostly an onsite corporate environment. It can feel a bit rigid sometimes.
Advice to Management: Think about offering more hybrid options for roles that don't need constant onsite presence. It would really help with employee retention and overall work-life satisfaction.
