Solid Company with Good Benefits for Engineering Roles
Pros: I've found Legrand to be a really stable place to work, which is great for job security in the electrical manufacturing industry. The benefits package, especially health and retirement, is pretty comprehensive and a definite plus. My colleagues are supportive, making for a collaborative work environment. I also appreciate the opportunities to work on interesting projects and learn new technologies within product development.
Cons: While the pay is competitive, I've noticed that the promotion process can feel a bit slow sometimes, which might be a drawback if you're looking for rapid career acceleration. Also, like any large company, there's a fair bit of bureaucracy and approval steps for new initiatives, which can occasionally slow things down.
Advice to Management: Continue to streamline internal processes to enable faster innovation and consider clearer pathways for career advancement for long-term employees.

Leadership Needs to Step Up at This Big Company
Pros: Legrand offers a solid hybrid model, which is great for work-life balance for technical roles like mine. The benefits package is pretty good, and there's a certain stability being part of such a large corporate company in the electrical solutions industry.
Cons: Leadership quality really varies across departments. Some managers are fantastic, but others lack clear vision, especially concerning new building infrastructure projects. It sometimes feels like decisions come from above without understanding the daily engineering challenges.
Advice to Management: Focus on developing consistent leadership training. Empower managers to make more informed decisions specific to their teams and the smart home tech market.

Decent Work-Life Balance, But Expect Crunch Times
Pros: I've been a Product Manager here for a couple years now. The hybrid work model is a solid perk, offering two WFH days a week. This really helps manage personal life, especially for those in the electrical products industry. Most colleagues try to respect your off-hours too, which is good.
Cons: Work-life balance can get tricky when project deadlines loom, which is often for Product Manager roles. Expect to put in more than 40 hours during those times. It's tough to truly disconnect sometimes, even with the hybrid setup in West Hartford, CT.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project loads to avoid constant crunch times. Empower managers to push back on unrealistic deadlines. This would greatly improve employee retention and overall morale.
