Junior Security Engineer

Decent place for entry-level cybersecurity careers
Pros: I got tons of hands-on experience with threat detection tools and data security platforms as a Junior Security Engineer. The hybrid work model in the Atlanta office was pretty good; it offered flexibility. You learn a lot if you're proactive and seek out opportunities.
Cons: Formal career growth paths felt unclear for cybersecurity roles; it wasn't always obvious how to advance. Promotions seemed to take a while, and mentorship wasn't always consistent. Sometimes, it felt like there wasn't a lot of focus on developing specific skills for future roles.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clearly defined career growth plans for all roles, especially for junior employees in cybersecurity. Consistent mentorship programs would really help people understand how to move up.

WLB is okay, but can be tough sometimes
Pros: The hybrid model is pretty solid for the NYC office, giving us decent flexibility to work from home a few days a week. It definitely helps avoid that crazy commute and provides some personal time. It's not a strict 40-hour week, but generally manageable.
Cons: The biggest issue is when project deadlines for new cybersecurity features hit; it's common to have longer hours then. Especially around release cycles, you feel pressured to be "always on" in this data security space. It can be hard to disconnect.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project loads and set more realistic timelines, especially for critical cybersecurity updates. It would really help prevent burnout among the engineering teams and improve overall work-life balance.

Sales Engineer

Decent Pay, Room for Benefit Improvement
Pros: The base salary for a Sales Engineer is pretty competitive within the cybersecurity industry. You get a solid 401k match, which is definitely a plus. Healthcare plans are also pretty standard and get the job done.
Cons: The bonus structure can feel a bit opaque sometimes, making it tough to hit targets reliably. Other benefits, like parental leave or PTO, feel just okay, not amazing compared to other tech companies. It feels like there's room for improvement here.
Advice to Management: Clarify the bonus targets and commission structures to make them more predictable. Look into enhancing benefits like parental leave or offering more competitive PTO. Small improvements could make a big difference for employee retention.
