Work-life balance is decent, but depends on your team.
Pros: As a Software Engineer at LTM, I found the hybrid work model helpful. Most teams in the Austin office stick to a 40-hour week. There's some flexibility if you manage your projects well.
Cons: Project deadlines can get really tight, especially in big tech. This often means working longer hours to hit targets. Some managers expect more after-hours availability.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize project loads. Support managers who prioritize team well-being over just hitting aggressive deadlines.

Decent balance, but it varies in tech
Pros: LTM has a pretty solid work-life balance for a tech company, especially as a Software Engineer. The hybrid work model helps a lot, letting me split time between the Austin, TX office and WFH. Most weeks, I stick to a 40-hour schedule, which is good.
Cons: Sometimes, project deadlines can make things tough; it's not always a true 40-hour week during crunch time. It depends a lot on your specific team and manager in agile development. There's pressure to be "always on" even with the flexibility.
Advice to Management: Keep an eye on team workloads to prevent burnout, especially during peak project cycles. Ensure hybrid policies are applied consistently across all engineering teams.

Okay Culture, But WFH Is Nice
Pros: I liked the remote work flexibility as a Software Engineer; it made my daily life much easier. The teams are generally supportive, and there's a decent push for collaboration on tech projects.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit corporate at times, and new ideas don't always get picked up quickly. Sometimes you just feel like a cog in the machine, especially in larger engineering teams.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more innovation and make employees feel more valued. Break down some of the internal silos that slow things down.
