The Clinical Tableau Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to support clinical decision-making, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare data, clinical workflows, and expertise in Tableau and data visualization best practices. The developer collaborates with clinical and operational teams to translate complex data into meaningful visualizations that drive improvements in patient care and healthcare delivery.
Job Description:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations tailored for the clinical operations teams and our hospital partners.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather and define analytics requirements.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including data dictionaries, user manuals, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with project teams to design and implement data models, and data visualization solutions
• Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accurate and reliable data
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the integration of operational and clinical data
• Translate complex clinical data into meaningful, user-friendly visualizations to support patient care, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives.
• Integrate data from various sources, including EHRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner), claims databases, and clinical registries.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in all reporting solutions.
• Perform data validation and troubleshooting of data discrepancies with clinical and IT teams.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau dashboards and data interpretation.
• Stay current with Tableau best practices, healthcare industry standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
• Clinical background or prior experience working in a clinical environment (e.g., Registered Nurse, healthcare analyst, medical technologist) .
• Strong understanding of healthcare terminology, clinical workflows, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, HEDIS, CMS, etc.).
• Experience working with healthcare data sources (EHRs, HL7, FHIR, etc.).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Tableau Desktop and/or Tableau Server certification, preferred
•Experience with statistical analysis or healthcare quality reporting (e.g., NCQA, Joint Commission metrics).
• Strong clinical and healthcare domain knowledge.
