Pros: You learn a lot if you're new to the oil and gas industry, especially on FPSO projects. The initial training for new Operations Coordinators is pretty solid. It's a stable company for maritime operations if you're not looking to climb super fast.
Cons: There's not much room to move up once you're past entry-level, feels like a plateau. Internal promotions are rare, and opportunities for development in the Houston office are limited. You'll probably have to leave to get a significant career bump.
Advice to Management: Focus more on internal development programs and create clearer pathways for career progression beyond junior roles. A mentorship program would really help retain talent.

What is BW Offshore's policy on remote work for offshore engineers and support staff?
BW Offshore generally operates with a focus on offshore assignments, meaning most roles require a physical presence on vessels or platforms. While administrative and shore-based positions may offer hybrid or remote options, offshore engineering roles are typically project-based and not conducive to regular remote work. Any work-from-home arrangements would be specific to onshore roles and discussed during the hiring process.
