Cons: While job security is generally high, there are definitely shifts. They're investing a lot in tech for online groceries, which sometimes makes you wonder about future roles for onsite staff. Some roles feel a bit stagnant if you're not in a growth area.
Advice to Management: Keep investing in your people's skills for the future, especially with all the digital transformation. Don't just focus on the tech; make sure the retail teams feel secure and valued in these shifts. More transparency on future role evolution would help ease anxieties for long-term employees in the Singapore outlets.

Pros: The benefits are pretty decent for a corporate role in the grocery retail industry, especially compared to some smaller players. You do get a sense of job security being with a company this size. Some senior managers in the Singapore office are genuinely supportive mentors too.
Cons: Leadership can feel really inconsistent. There's a clear disconnect between top-level management and what's happening on the ground for us Retail Operations Executive folks. It's tough when decisions come down without much input from the people actually doing the work.
Advice to Management: Try to bridge the gap between upper management and the frontline teams. More open communication and actually listening to feedback from retail operations staff would make a huge difference.
