WFH is great, but leadership struggles
Pros: As a Claims Specialist, the WFH setup from Dallas, TX is a huge plus for work-life balance. The health insurance and 401k benefits are decent for a big corporate environment, which is nice.
Cons: Leadership can be pretty disconnected from what we do day-to-day. My manager often seemed overwhelmed and didn't really advocate for the team, making career progression in the health insurance industry tough.
Advice to Management: Invest more in leadership training programs. Empower managers to truly support their teams and listen to the input from frontline employees like us Claims Specialists.

Culture is okay, but it's a big corporate machine.
Pros: Job security is solid here; it's a large insurance company. You get decent benefits and a reliable paycheck. My immediate team had a good vibe, and we had some WFH flexibility with their hybrid model.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty corporate and bureaucratic. Decision-making is super slow for us in IT roles, especially as a Data Analyst. It's tough to feel like your individual contributions truly matter sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to empower teams more and speed up decision processes. Break down some of the internal silos to improve collaboration.

Solid Benefits, But Pay Could Be Better
Pros: The health insurance benefits are truly top-notch, as you'd expect from a healthcare industry giant. The 401k match is also pretty decent. It's a stable place to work in the Bloomfield, CT office.
Cons: Compensation for my role as an Account Manager just doesn't feel competitive at all. My base salary hasn't grown much in a few years, even with good performance. It's tough to feel valued when you know what peers make elsewhere.
Advice to Management: Management should really review salary bands, especially for those of us in client-facing roles. Competitive pay is crucial to retain talent in this market, even for a large corporate company.
