Pros: It's a stable government agency, so job security is high. They do have a hybrid model for many roles, like for us Senior Analyst positions, which means 2-3 days WFH, helping a bit with the commute in Singapore.
Cons: Beyond those WFH days, work flexibility can feel pretty rigid. You're expected to be at your desk during fixed core hours. It's not really a place where you can easily shift your workday or take extended breaks during the day, which can be tough sometimes.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible core hours or introducing 'flexitime' for certain administrative roles. Empowering employees with more autonomy over their daily schedule could boost morale and productivity without impacting public service delivery too much.
