Cygnify Culture: Good People, Growing Pains
Pros: I really liked my team here. Everyone's pretty supportive, especially important in a fully remote setup. The startup environment means you can often take on new challenges for technical roles.
Cons: Sometimes the culture feels a bit disorganized. There's a lot of change, which can be tough for a Software Engineer looking for stability. Communication from top leadership isn't always clear.
Advice to Management: Try to define and stick to core values as you grow. Better communication channels for big company decisions would really help. Invest more in manager training to handle remote teams effectively.

Solid place, but flexibility could improve a bit
Pros: I did like the option to work remotely a couple days a week. It really helped with my commute into the San Francisco office. Managers are generally understanding if you need to adjust your schedule for appointments, which is a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: The hybrid model itself isn't super flexible though. We're expected in the office three set days, and there isn't much wiggle room for changes. As a Software Engineer, sometimes I just wanted to focus from home without the distractions, but that wasn't always an option.
Advice to Management: Management should really consider offering more flexible options within the hybrid model. Maybe let teams decide their in-office days, or allow more remote days for specific roles like software development. It would make a big difference.

Cygnify has an okay work-life balance
Pros: The company does offer a hybrid model, which is nice. I can work remote some days, and that helps with personal appointments. Vacation policy is pretty standard for the tech industry, so you get decent time off.
Cons: As a Software Engineer, projects often demand more than 40 hours. There's pressure to deliver quickly, which sometimes means late nights or weekend work. It's tough to truly disconnect sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes and deadlines. It would help prevent burnout among the engineering teams.
