Pros: I've learned a lot in the software development space. My direct manager is pretty decent, always supportive of personal growth. For engineering roles, there's always interesting project work.
Cons: Upper management decisions often feel disconnected from the ground level. We see a lot of changes in direction without clear communication. It's tough when you're fully remote and don't get consistent leadership updates.
Advice to Management: Improve transparency on strategic decisions. Make sure all levels of leadership are aligned and communicate changes clearly, especially for remote employees.

Pros: The base salary for a remote Software Engineer here is pretty competitive, especially for a mid-sized tech company. We've got a decent 401k match, which is good for planning your future.
Cons: The health benefits package is just okay; it could really be better for the tech industry. Also, the PTO isn't great compared to some peers, which makes work-life balance a bit tougher sometimes.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the overall benefits package, especially the PTO policy. More comprehensive health options and maybe some form of equity would really help with retention for engineering roles.

Pros: The team culture is really good, especially with our hybrid setup. People are friendly and helpful. We get to work on some interesting software development projects, so the day-to-day isn't boring. Benefits are pretty solid, too.
Cons: Career growth is a big struggle for technical roles. There aren't clear promotion paths for a Software Engineer, which is frustrating. You don't get much mentorship or development opportunities from leadership. It feels like you hit a ceiling quickly.
Advice to Management: You really need to invest in clear career progression plans for your engineering team. It's hard for us to see a future here without them. More mentorship would help a lot too.
