Good Balance for Tech in a Hybrid Setup
Pros: I worked as a Software Engineer here, and the hybrid model made work-life balance pretty manageable. Most weeks were a solid 40 hours, which is decent for the SaaS industry. You really can shut down your laptop and live your life.
Cons: Sometimes deadlines for new product features can be intense, especially quarter-end. You might need to put in extra hours then. It's not constant, but it can mess with plans.
Advice to Management: Keep supporting the hybrid model, it really helps with employee retention. Try to better distribute workloads to avoid those last-minute rushes.

Career Growth is Pretty Stagnant Here
Pros: It's a big company, so there's some job security you don't always find. You can learn a lot if you're new to the B2B tech space and need a stable environment. The benefits package is solid.
Cons: Career growth as a Product Manager in the Denver, CO office is pretty stagnant. There aren't many clear paths to move up within the SaaS industry here. It often feels like you're stuck in your current role, especially after a couple of years.
Advice to Management: Create clearer progression paths for individual contributors. Give Product Managers more opportunities to grow and take on bigger challenges. It's crucial for retaining talent, especially in a competitive market like Denver.

Okay Flexibility, Depends on Your Team
Pros: I appreciate the hybrid model; it's nice to have some WFH days. For customer-facing roles like mine, the ability to manage my schedule around client calls is a plus. It's a solid perk in the Denver tech scene.
Cons: The hybrid policy isn't super consistent across the large tech company. Some teams are basically full-time in the Denver office, which makes true flexible hours tough. It can feel a bit rigid if your manager isn't on board.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid model and WFH policies across all departments. Clear guidelines would really help all employees, especially for client management teams.

Decent remote work, but work-life balance can be tough.
Pros: I really liked being able to work remote from Denver. The WFH setup is solid, and for a mid-sized tech company, they're pretty good about trusting you to get your work done without micromanagement. It's nice not commuting.
Cons: As a Software Engineer, the work-life balance wasn't always there for me. We had some intense periods pushing out new features for our SaaS platform. I often worked more than 40 hours a week, especially when nearing project deadlines.
Advice to Management: Try to better balance project timelines with team capacity. It'd really help prevent burnout for technical roles if there was more focus on sustainable workloads.
