Stable Company, But Site Roles Can Shift
Pros: It's a huge company, so job security is generally pretty good. They're a leader in the foodservice industry, so there are lots of opportunities if one client contract ends. You can often find another role internally, especially in a big city like Atlanta, GA.
Cons: Your specific location's job security depends entirely on the client contract. If a school or corporate campus ends their deal, you might have to relocate or find a new site. Turnover for onsite Food Service Manager roles can be high at some sites.
Advice to Management: Focus on better retaining talent at specific sites, especially when contracts are strong. Offer more transparent internal transfer processes for onsite staff.

Decent food service job, but tough on flexibility
Pros: As a Catering Assistant, I got pretty consistent part-time hours, which was good for a student. The team in our food service unit was generally supportive and we worked well together. It's a big corporate company, so job security is decent.
Cons: Work flexibility here is pretty low for onsite roles. You're usually stuck with set shifts and it's hard to swap or get last-minute changes approved. Asking for time off can be a hassle, especially during peak catering operations.
Advice to Management: Try to be more understanding about schedule changes for food service staff. A little more flexibility would go a long way for morale and could help retain talent.

Solid place for entry-level, but pay is tough
Pros: As a Food Service Worker, the medical benefits were decent for a large corporate company. You get a basic 401k, which is good for planning out your future.
Cons: Hourly wages for catering roles are pretty low, especially for the cost of living in Charlotte, NC. Don't expect big raises unless you move up, and the health insurance deductibles were high.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to look at the compensation packages for frontline employees. Better hourly rates and more affordable healthcare options would make a huge difference in retention.
