Decent for Tech, but Needs Better Boundaries
Pros: I appreciate the work flexibility for Software Engineers, especially with the hybrid model. I can often work remote from my home in Atlanta, which is a huge plus. We do get some quiet periods, which helps recover.
Cons: Project deadlines in this enterprise software space can get pretty intense. It's not uncommon to work past a typical 40-hour week, especially when pushing out new SaaS solutions. Boundaries aren't always great.
Advice to Management: Leadership should encourage managers to prioritize employee well-being more. Clearer communication on project timelines and protecting personal time would really help improve the overall work-life balance for all roles, especially within engineering.

Good Start, But Growth Can Be Slow
Pros: As a Junior Software Engineer, you definitely learn a lot about the SaaS industry. The team in the Heidelberg office is super helpful, and there's decent initial training. It's a solid place to get your foot in the door.
Cons: Career progression here feels pretty stuck after your first year; it's hard to see a clear path up. There aren't many opportunities for promotion, even in product development. Pay raises don't really match what other software companies offer.
Advice to Management: Management should create more defined career ladders, especially for engineering roles. It would really help with retention if there were clearer steps to promotion and skill development, not just waiting for senior folks to leave.

Leadership is Okay, Needs More Clear Direction
Pros: For a mid-sized tech company, the immediate team leads are generally pretty supportive. I've had decent work flexibility, especially being a remote Software Engineer. They trust you to get your work done.
Cons: The top-level leadership sometimes lacks a clear strategic vision. It feels like decisions in the enterprise software space are often reactive, not proactive. Communication from the very top can be a bit spotty for those of us working remotely, leading to some uncertainty.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer, more consistent communication about the company's strategic roadmap. Proactive decision-making would also help in the competitive SaaS market.
