  • The Facility Manager serves as the primary point of control for the contract, holding full responsibility for all contractual and management matters. In this capacity, they are required to liaise directly with the client to ensure seamless communication. Their duties encompass the full scope of administrative oversight, including supervising and coordinating efforts between the client and vendors. The Facility Manager will lead the integrated team responsible for Security, Cleaning, and all surrounding facilities services within the building.
  • The Facility Manager is responsible for continually monitoring the evolving needs of building users. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement and renovations to common areas, and formulating actionable recommendations to present to the client.
  • Manages comprehensive inventory control for all assets in common areas and unoccupied premises, ensuring accurate tracking and accountability.
  • Executes the procurement of building management supplies as specified by the client, ensuring full compliance with established procedures and budgetary guidelines.
  • Prepares and delivers monthly performance reports to the client, utilizing standardized formats to clearly communicate the Contractor's operational achievements and areas of focus for the period.
  • Provides responsive operational and labour support as requested by the client, including the timely arrangement of furniture and equipment to meet evolving building needs.
  • The Facility Manager shall carry out any other property management tasks as may be specified or directed by the client. This ensures flexibility and responsiveness to evolving operational requirements within the scope of the role.

Requirements

  • Possesses an aggregate of 10 years of experience in property & facilities management, including not less than 6 years’ full-time working experience at management level in overseeing integrated facilities management service contracts in the past 10-year period.
  • Be able to speak Cantonese, simple English and Putonghua to a degree of fluency for the satisfactory performance of his/her duties.
  • Be able to read and write Chinese and English to a degree of proficiency for the satisfactory performance of his/her duties.
  • Have a post-secondary qualification in property management, building management, facilities management, human resources management or equivalent issued by a registered post-secondary institution, or having:
  • Obtained the Certificate in Housing Practice of the University of Hong Kong; or
  • Obtained a bachelor degree (Honours) / post-graduate diploma / master degree in Housing Management or Housing Studies from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, as recognised by the Government Representative; or
  • Become a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Housing, or equivalent; or
  • Become a Registered Professional Housing Manager in the Housing Managers Registration Board; or
  • Holder of Property Management Practitioner (Tier 1) Licence.
