Pros: The work-life balance for a Software Engineer here is decent. They offer a hybrid work model, which helps a lot, letting me WFH a couple of days. Most weeks, I stick to a pretty solid 40-hour schedule in the Seattle office.
Cons: Project deadlines can get really tight, especially in the last sprint. Sometimes, it feels like I'm expected to log on after hours to finish things up for the software development team. There's definitely pressure to deliver, and that can cut into personal time.
Advice to Management: Management should really look at resource allocation for software development projects. It's tough when deadlines keep shifting, and we're expected to just absorb the extra work without real support.
