Pros: I loved the flexibility of working remote from Dallas, TX. It was great not having a commute. The initial projects for outsourcing clients were interesting enough, and the WFH setup is solid. Pay for a mid-level Software Engineer was competitive.
Cons: Career growth here is tough, especially as a Software Engineer. There aren't many clear paths to move up, and promotions feel pretty arbitrary. I didn't see much in terms of formal training or development programs for remote staffing roles. It can feel like you're stuck in your current role.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to invest in clearer career paths and offer more development opportunities, especially for remote employees. Give Software Engineers a roadmap for how to advance.
